CNC Machining Without the Overhead
Cam Woodwork Ltd is a CNC routing, machining, and edgebanding service based in Newbury, Berkshire, specialising in wood-based materials for the UK joinery and furniture trade. Toolpaths are programmed in Alphacam, components are CNC-routed and edgebanded at our Newbury workshop, and finished parts are dispatched UK-wide.
We're not a volume panel-processing shop. We're a CAD/CAM specialist who programmes and machines to your drawings — for joinery workshops that need capacity, or CAD/CAM expertise, without adding headcount or equipment.
If you have CAD drawings, DXF files, or even a rough sketch, we can take your components from file to finished, edged, ready-to-install parts — without you needing in-house CNC equipment, an edgebander, or Alphacam programming resource. Most work is handled remotely: you send the files, we programme, machine, and edgeband at our Newbury workshop, and you receive finished parts within 3–7 working days.

If you have your own CNC machine but no in-house Alphacam programmer, we offer CAD/CAM file preparation and toolpath programming as a standalone service — cleaning up DXF/DWG files, optimising nesting layouts, and producing Alphacam toolpaths ready to run on your own controller.

Quote & Confirmation
We review your files, confirm materials, edgebanding requirements, and quantities — usually within 24 hours.
Toolpath Programming
Files are programmed into CNC toolpaths in Alphacam — nesting, pass strategy, depths, and tooling set before cutting.
CNC Machining & Edgebanding
Components are CNC-routed and edgebanded at our Newbury workshop, checked against your drawings.
Delivery or Collection
Dispatched or available for collection. Most UK deliveries within 1–2 working days of completion.

See It in Practice
A Newbury-based interior contractor supplied AutoCAD drawings for a set of arched stable doors with recessed panel details. Toolpaths were programmed in Alphacam for the arch profiles and 6mm recess pockets, and 25mm MDF sheets CNC-routed to produce a complete set of doors — delivered ready for hand-painting and installation.
