This case study showcases the creation of bespoke walnut study furniture with marine blue front framing. Using 3D design and rendered images, we were able to blend modern style with classic materials to enhance both functionality and ambiance.
Client Request
The client, based in Newbury, Berkshire, recently converted their living room into a dedicated study and sought bespoke furniture that would harmonize with their new space. They specifically requested furniture crafted from walnut wood with marine blue front framing to complement the existing décor. In addition to the furniture's functional needs, the client wanted LED lighting incorporated into the design to create an ambient atmosphere.
Design Process
Our design team employed 3D design software to visualize the concept and ensure the client's vision was brought to life with precision. Using render images, the client was able to see and approve the proposed design before production began, making it a fully collaborative process.
Material Selection: For the furniture’s structure, we selected walnut for its rich colour and long-lasting quality, which offers a timeless, elegant appearance. The marine blue front framing was added as a bold contrast, bringing a modern edge to the traditional wood finish.
Incorporation of LED Lighting: LED lighting was incorporated into the shelves, adding not only visual appeal but also enhancing the functionality of the furniture. The lighting accentuates the wood grain and highlights the rich tones of the walnut while providing soft ambient light.
Design Features
Custom Shelving and Storage: The bespoke design included multiple adjustable shelves, providing flexibility for the client to store books, office supplies, and decorative items. The bottom cabinets offer hidden storage to keep the study organized and neat.
LED Lighting: Discreetly integrated along the edges of the shelving, the LED lights added a touch of warmth and modernity, making the furniture not just functional but also an ambient feature in the room.
Bespoke Design: Each element of the furniture was custom-designed to fit the client’s exact specifications and room dimensions. This personalized approach ensured a seamless integration into the newly converted study area.
Outcome
The final product—a combination of walnut wood, marine blue accents, and LED lighting—created a stunning piece of bespoke furniture that perfectly suited the study’s design. The 3D render images allowed the client to visualize the design beforehand, which significantly contributed to their satisfaction with the final result. The bespoke furniture not only matched the aesthetic of the room but also improved the overall functionality and ambiance.
Client Feedback
The client was thoroughly pleased with the design and craftsmanship of the bespoke furniture. They appreciated how the marine blue front framing complemented the warmth of the walnut wood, and they were especially impressed with the seamless integration of LED lighting. They now have a stylish and functional study space that serves both as a workspace and a visually appealing area in their home.
